Products
Which Lumi Frames is right for me?
Start with what you want to light. The Neon outlines art or a bare wall in flowing multicolor light. The Halo casts a soft glow onto the wall behind a print. The Lightbox lights posters evenly from behind, and the Edge is a cordless photo frame for desks and shelves. The Shadow Box holds keepsakes, and the Jersey displays a jersey, folded or with the sleeves spread. The frame comparison puts them side by side.
Is the Neon frame made with glass neon tubes?
No. It uses LED neon: flexible LEDs behind a frosted diffuser, which gives the continuous glow of a neon sign without glass tubes, gas or high voltage. Our guide to LED neon vs glass neon compares the two.
Which frames can change color?
The Neon shows 16 million colors plus tunable white, with multi-zone LEDs that let color flow around the frame. The Halo, Shadow Box and Jersey offer tunable white plus color modes. The Lightbox is tunable white only, and the Edge has three fixed whites. Read more about color-changing picture frames.
Can I display my own art, photos or objects?
Yes. The Neon, Halo, Lightbox and Edge take your own prints, photos or posters. The Shadow Box holds objects up to about 2 inches deep, and the Jersey is sized for real jerseys. If you'd rather not do it yourself, our Send Us Your Piece service mounts your piece for you. See custom frames and mounting.
Do the frames need a power outlet?
All of them plug in except the Edge, which has a built-in rechargeable battery charged over USB-C (up to 10 hours at 50% brightness). For plug-in frames, our guide on hiding the cord of a light-up frame covers tidy options.
What sizes are available?
Neon: 26 sizes from 8 × 8 in to 24 × 36 in; Halo: 12 × 12 in, 16 × 20 in and 24 × 24 in; Lightbox: 4 sizes from 12 × 18 in to 27 × 40 in (one-sheet); Edge: 5 × 7 in, 8 × 10 in and 11 × 14 in; Shadow Box: 11 × 14 in and 16 × 20 in; Jersey: Standard 32 × 24 in and Full-spread 42 × 24 in. For help matching a print to a frame, see our picture frame size guide.
Ordering and payment
How do I pay for a frame?
Choose your frame and size on its product page and select Buy. You pay on a secure checkout page run by Stripe, our payment processor, so your card details are entered with Stripe rather than on our site. Shipping for your region is added at checkout.
Why does a size say “Request this frame” instead of Buy?
That size's online checkout link isn't live yet. The button opens our order form with the frame and size filled in. We reply within 1 business day with the total for your country, a delivery estimate and a secure payment link. Nothing is charged until you pay through that link.
Which currency are your prices in?
All prices are in US dollars (USD). If your card is in another currency, your bank may convert the amount at its own rate and add a fee. Import duties and taxes are not included in our prices.
How do I choose a finish?
The Neon comes in Black, White, Champagne Gold, Dark Brown and Light Brown. Pick one on the product page and it is attached to your order. The other frames each come in a single standard finish.
Can I order a custom size or a bulk order, or have you mount my piece?
Yes. Send a brief for custom sizes, colors or bulk orders, or use Send Us Your Piece ($499 plus the frame) to have us mount your poster, print, jersey or keepsake. Everything starts on the custom frames page. Please read the mounting service terms there before you send anything, and don't send irreplaceable originals.
Shipping and customs
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, every order ships with tracking. Shipping is a flat rate per order: free to the United States, $19 to Canada, $29 to the United Kingdom & Europe, $29 to Australia & New Zealand and $39 to the rest of the world. The shipping page lists delivery times for each region.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock frames usually leave us within 1–3 business days. Delivery then takes about 3–7 business days within the United States and up to 20 business days to the farthest regions. These are estimates, not guarantees. Custom frames take longer, and we give you an estimate before you pay.
Will I have to pay import duties or taxes?
Possibly. Outside the United States, your customs authority or the carrier may charge duties, taxes or brokerage fees on delivery. These are not included in our prices or shipping rates and are paid by the recipient.
Will my frame work with the power supply in my country?
Yes. Every plug-in frame ships with an adapter that accepts 100–240 V and has the right plug for your country, so you don't need a voltage converter. The Edge charges with its included USB-C cable from a USB wall charger, which is not included. More on adapters is in our setup and care guide.
How do I track my order?
We email you a tracking link when your order leaves. Large frames may arrive in two boxes, with the power adapter packed separately, so check both before you worry about a missing part.
What if my frame arrives damaged?
Keep all the packaging, take photos of the box and the frame, and contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or a refund. The shipping policy has the details.
Returns and warranty
What is your return policy?
Standard frames can be returned within 30 days of delivery, in their original packaging with all parts. If you simply changed your mind, you pay the return shipping; if the frame is defective or arrived damaged, we cover it. Read the full returns policy.
Can I return a custom frame?
Custom, personalized and made-to-order frames are built for you, so they can't be returned for a change of mind. They are still covered by our 2-year warranty against defects.
How long is the warranty?
Every frame has a 2-year limited warranty covering the LEDs, drivers, controllers, power adapters and manufacturing defects. Accidental damage, misuse, modifications, normal wear of finishes and consumables such as remote batteries aren't covered. See the warranty terms.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Contact us with your order number and a photo or short video of the problem. We reply within 1 business day and, if it's a covered defect, repair, replace or refund the frame.
How do I start a return?
Contact us first with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send the return address and instructions. Please don't ship a frame back before hearing from us. Refunds go to your original payment method, usually within 5 business days of the frame reaching us.
Care and safety
How do I clean my frame?
Switch it off first. Dust with a soft, dry microfiber cloth, and for smudges use a cloth lightly dampened with water and a little mild soap. Never use ammonia-based window cleaners or solvents on acrylic. Step-by-step instructions are on our support page.
Can I leave my frame on all night?
You can, since a plug-in frame in good condition, on its own adapter, can run for hours. Switching it off overnight is still the better habit, because it saves power and limits how long your art is lit. The Halo has scenes and timers and the Edge has a six-hour timer; switch the others off with the remote, button or in-line control. Charging the Edge is different: charge it while you are awake and nearby, never overnight while you sleep. Our guide to LED frame safety covers overnight use, heat and adapters.
Will the light fade my artwork?
Slowly, yes. LED light contains very little ultraviolet, but visible light also fades sensitive colors over the years. The Shadow Box and Jersey have UV-filtering acrylic fronts, and dimming and timers help any frame. Our guide on whether LED lights fade art explains the details.
Can I use a frame in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. Keep Lumi Frames indoors and dry. None of our frames has a water-resistance rating, so keep them away from showers, sinks, damp rooms and the outdoors.
Are the moving light effects OK for people sensitive to flashing light?
A static color is the safe choice, because steady light doesn't flash. Fast chase and music-reactive modes can flicker, so if anyone at home is sensitive to flashing light, stick to static or slow effects and turn the speed and brightness down. The LED frame safety guide has a section on flashing effects and photosensitivity.
Is the remote safe around young children?
Keep it out of their reach. Many remotes use coin or button batteries, which can cause serious internal burns within hours if swallowed. Store remotes and spare batteries where young children can't get them and check that the battery cover stays closed. If you think a child has swallowed a battery, get emergency medical help immediately. The LED frame safety guide lists who to call.
